Audit, Evaluation and Risk Services assists the Accountable Officers of the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, its agencies and statutory bodies along with other levels of management of the Department, to improve organisational performance and comply with legal requirements. This is achieved through the conduct of performance, operational and regulatory audits, undertaking comprehensive evaluation of output areas and programs as well as providing a specialist internal consultancy service. It also has responsibility for the implementation of risk management within the department.
