Crime and Misconduct Commission

The Crime and Misconduct Commission is an independent body which acts under authority of the Crime and Misconduct Act 2001. The CMC was formed on 1 January 2002 with the merger of the Criminal Justice Commission and the Queensland Crime Commission. It works to:

combat and reduce the incidence of major crime in Queensland;
improve the integrity of the Queensland public sector; and
reduce the incidence of misconduct in the Queensland public sector.
