Anti-Discrimination Commission Queensland
The Commission is responsible for administering the Anti-Discrimination Act
1991 and seeks to protect and uphold the human rights of people by investigating
and endeavouring to resolve through conciliation, complaints about alleged acts
of discrimination, sexual harassment, vilification and other objectionable behaviour
prohibited by the Act. The Commission refers complaints that are unable
to be resolved by conciliation to the Anti-Discrimination Tribunal for public
hearing and determination.

The Land Court is an independent Judicial Tribunal. The primary and general powers of the Court are contained in the Land Court Act 2000. Sittings are held in Brisbane, principal country towns and smaller centres where suitable facilities are available. The Court presently has jurisdiction under 35 Acts of Parliament and provides an appeal mechanism for land related matters. Appeals lie in most matters from decisions of the Court to the Land Appeal Court.
The Land Appeal Court is constituted by a Supreme Court Judge and two Members of the Land Court (other than the Member whose decision is appealed against). The Land Appeal Court usually sits in Brisbane, Rockhampton, Townsville and Cairns.
